合成器基础教程

第一节 基本声音
减法合成(subtractive)这个英语单词极其重要,在后期的学习中经常遇到。
OSC振荡器(Oscillator),为合成器振荡出原始波形作为声源来进行声音的合成。在电压控制的模拟合成器上写成VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator)
常用参数
Waveform/Wave shape:波形(the raw sound a synth generates)
——包括正弦波、三角波、方波、锯齿波、噪声等
Saw锯齿波——泛音丰富华丽闪亮,代表性音色主要是弦乐和管乐
Pulse脉冲波——Square wave方波(heavier bass)
Pulse Width——方波的宽度 PWM——脉冲宽度调制
在音高较高时候,这两种声音高频的声音差距很大,在低音处,方波会有更多的低音沉重感,痒痒的感觉也有;锯齿波只有痒痒的感觉
-Saw and pulse waves = most common.
-Saw wave = bright, edgy and used for a lot of different sounds.
-Pulse wave = more videogame-like, artifical sound.
-Pulse wave = heavy in low pitches.
关系:Square wave是一种特殊的Pulse Wave,两者皆为四方形的连续波形,但是Square wave的波形上下宽度相同,Pulse Wave则上下宽度一宽一窄,音色也有所不同。Square wave方波最典型的案例就是任天堂红白机,例如《超级马里奥兄弟》,《勇者斗恶龙》的音效,方波的泛音比锯齿波少,完全不含有偶数倍泛音,具有一定透明感、又有些许粗厚。
注意锯齿波改变pulse width,声音不发生变化 ;方波改变pulse width,声音会有所变化
-When designing heavy bass sounds, use pulse since it has heavy sound in low ches(底盘).
-Pulse waves are special because the pulse width can be changed
-In the default state, the pulse width makes it a square wave
-Gets more saw-like when you make pulse width very small/thin
-pulse width doesn't affect saw waves' sound
-square (default PW) sounds hollow and more "thick"; medium PW sounds in between ;
thin PW sounds child-like, silly, duck-like, voice-like, sitar like;
-medium and square pulses sound more voice-like and thick than saw wave
